Homeside Financial - High pressure bait and switch
Won't give rate quote in writing, won't do HELOC without refinancing 1st mortgage, rep on the phone said they are the "only lender on the planet" that does something (don't recall what, I simply tuned out after that stupid tidbit). Numerous times in 3 phone calls rep said I don't want to waste your time, and that I was not serious (why would I talk to them 3 times on the phone).
Young woman (rep) was very manipulative (IMHO), ducking questions and pivoting to something else. Not at all a customer based experience, more like an adversarial challenge.
Like a combination used car sales pitch combined with a time share sales pitch, having all the worst elements of both. Seriously an exasperating experience just to try to get information.
Reason of review: Not as described/ advertised.
Preferred solution: Stop high pressure bait and switch, stop brow beating potential customers.
Homeside Financial Pros: Rate and indicated terms.
Homeside Financial Cons: Would not honor heloc rate despite 750 credit score.
